Toronto District School Board - OW Training Program

The TDSB is offering a 3 month training program for clients currently receiving social assisstance and/or Ontario Disability Support Program. The following include only a few highlights of the program.

Topics Include:

• The Canadian Transportation Industry
• Introduction to Logistics: understanding the physical distribution, flow and delivery of goods and services
• Information Technology: basic computer and Windows Operations, Microsoft Office, keyboarding, internet, and email
• Employability skills: workplace culture, requirements, and norms

Eligibility requirements

• must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
• must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• must have sufficient English skills and some basic knowledge of math
• some experience in logistics (warehousing)
• willing and able to work all types of shifts
