An Invitation

The Arab Community Centre of Toronto (ACCT) cordially invites you to attend a celebration to recognize and honour members of our community who provide support for individuals who are in need of assistance while settling in Canada. The individuals we wish to honour have continuously illustrated positive attitudes and have selflessly devoted much of their time to help others (mainly in finding jobs or with their education).

The management team and staff of the ACCT are proud to hear that our clients are lending a helping hand to our community. They have offered mentoring, professional and educational materials, and referrals to proper contacts. Furthermore, clients consistently send updates to the centre about job opportunities for their peers.

The centre wishes to show its appreciation towards those individuals by rewarding them for their genuine assistance to others.

The centre welcomes nominations. Please let us know if there is someone that has supported you that you would like to recognize. Kindly send us the individual's name, biography, and the role this individual has played in your life (maximum of 5 sentences).

Please email this information to Rala at rbekdach@arabnewcomers.org. This information will be needed in order for us to send out invitations to nominees. Please send your nominations prior to June 9, 2008.

This event will take place on Saturday June 21, 2008 at 10:30am and it will end at 12:30pm. The location of the event will be at The Arab Community Centre of Toronto, which is located at 555 Burnhamthorpe Road Suite 209, Etobicoke. Children are welcome and child care will be provided.

I encourage everyone to attend this event. We will recognize hardworking individuals in our community, and this will also be an opportunity to meet new people.
